Valentine’s Day Brownies

By: Ligia Lugo

There is no greater love in the food world than the love we all have for these gooey, decadent, brown-colored beauties.

While most of us must be looking forward to the St. Valentine goodies which we all will feast on, there is one dish which doesn’t get its fair share of appreciation during this festive time -- that is cranberry sauce. This versatile red sauce pairs really well with both sweet and savory preparations as its sweet and tangy taste makes everything much more appetizing and desirable.

This recipe of brownies with cranberry sauce requires a few syrups, which makes it a tad bit more flavorful. The syrups used in this recipe are definitely not one-time purchase products as they are as versatile as our cranberry sauce and can be used to flavor various foods and beverages alike.

To enjoy the gooey goodness of brownies with cranberry sauce you will have to prepare the sauce separately and then drizzle it over the prepared brownies. However, you will be pleased to know that preparing cranberry sauce is as easy as saying 1, 2, 3, as you simply have to open a jar of Trader Joe’s cranberry sauce or any other cranberry sauce/relish of your choice.

Coming back to the recipe you need the following ingredients to prepare this decadent dessert.

These brownies have a fairly good shelf life if stored safely sealed in a dry container or bag. We recommend you use a vacuum sealer to secure the storage bag containing brownies so that you may prepare it in a big batch and then store it for later use. In this article from The Daring Kitchen you can find some great options for the latest and the most efficient vacuum sealers that can ease your storage jobs.
