February is the month of love and chocolate and chocolate love! Skip the guilt and indulge in this easy recipe for chocolate strawberry crepes. These are great to make your sweetheart and serve in bed or just make them for yourself because they are so good. This crepe recipe is slightly different since it uses a blender to mix and pour, making it even easier!

Chocolate Crepes Recipe

Ingredients:
‧ 4 eggs
‧ 2 cups milk
‧ 3 tbsp butter, melted
‧ 2 tbsp sugar
‧ 1 tsp vanilla extract
‧ ½ tsp salt
‧ 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
‧ ½ cup Ghirardelli Sweet Ground Chocolate & Cocoa Powder

Directions:
1. Add all the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.
2. On medium-low heat, place a frying pan and lightly coat with a non-stick spray. Pour about ¼ cup of batter into the pan and begin to tilt the pan around until you have an even complete circle.
3. Cook for about a minute then carefully lift and flip the crepe to the other side to cook an additional minute.
4. Continue the process until you’ve used up the batter.

 

How to Make Strawberry Hearts

Strawberries already look very similar to a heart shape, but here’s how to make it look exactly like a heart!

1. Cut the strawberry in half longways.
2. At the thicker larger end, cut out a V with the bottom point pointed towards the center of the strawberry.
3. That’s it!

 

Chocolate Strawberry Crepes Assembly

Items Needed:
‧ Chocolate Crepes
‧ Heart-shaped Strawberries
Ghirardelli Black Label Chocolate Sauce
‧ Whip Cream
‧ A dash of love

Preparation:

To prepare the final dish for your sweetheart, place a chocolate crepe on a plate and add a spoonful of heart-shaped strawberries on just half of the crepe. Drizzle a generous helping of Ghirardelli Black Label Chocolate Sauce over the strawberries. Fold the empty side of the crepe over to cover the strawberries then fold the crepe in half one more time to create a triangle.

Repeat the process 2-3 more times then stack the triangle crepes. Garnish with more heart-shaped strawberries, chocolate sauce, and whip cream. This recipe is so delicious, you’ll be making these crepes over and over again!
