Lemonade 3 Ways

By: Sabrina Huda Sanchez

Neighborhood lemonade stands may not be around anymore, but we all still love a good glass of fresh lemonade. Such a simple 3 ingredient drink to cool us down on a hot summer day. As wonderful as lemonades, there are ways to make them better. We’ve found 3 ways to switch up your lemonade game! Check out these recipes for variations of a timeless classic.

Frosted Lemonade
Inspired by the popular Chik-fil-A frosted lemonade, we created a bolder lemonier version of this beloved citrus milkshake! The lemon syrup sweetens the beverage and delivers a stronger lemon flavor. If you prefer their diet lemonade, which uses Splenda®, then swap the lemon syrup with a sugar free syrup to reduce calories.

Ingredients:

‧ 2 oz Tea Zone Lemon syrup (or Torani Sugar Free Lemon syrup)
‧ 2 oz lemon juice
‧ 4 oz water
‧ 1 cup vanilla ice cream

Directions:
1. Put syrup, lemon juice, water to a blender. Blend a few seconds until diluted.
2. Add vanilla ice cream until smooth.
Serve

Hard Lemonade
Lemonade is known to be a kid-friendly drink but this one is just for grown-ups. More adults are looking to spike their favorite refreshments as hard seltzers, teas and lemonades hit markets everywhere! Save yourself some money and make your own hard lemonade for pennies per serving with this simple recipe. You’ll be putting down the Mike’s Hard Lemonade and crafting your own variety of indulgent flavored lemonade.

Ingredients:

‧ 1 oz Tea Zone Lemon syrup
‧ 1 oz lemon juice
‧ 4 oz water
‧ 1 shot vodka
‧ Ice

Directions:
1. Add syrup, lemon juice and water in a glass of ice then stir until syrup is diluted.
2. Pour over vodka and give a quick stir.
3. Garnish with lemon peel.

Flavored Lemonade
The bright sour lemon flavor is often paired with sweet berries such as strawberries or raspberries. Strawberry lemonade is one of the most common lemonade variations and it’s so easy to make but you could also as easily make blueberry lemonade or pomegranate lemonade! The sky’s the limit when you use flavored syrups like the wide variety from 1883 Maison Routin. Try exciting new combinations like tangerine, elderflower or kiwi. Just follow this strawberry lemonade recipe and swap the syrup for your favorite flavor.

Ingredients:

‧ 2 oz 1883 Strawberry syrup
‧ 2 oz lemon juice
‧ 8 oz water
‧ Ice

Directions:
1.Put ingredients into a cocktail shaker (or shaker bottle) and shake for 15 seconds to dilute the syrup.
2.Pour into a glass of ice and enjoy!
