Labor-Free Drinks for Labor Day

Americans work hard all year 40+ hours a week and since becoming a federal holiday in 1894, Labor Day has become a day for relaxation with drinks, cocktails and no worries. Luckily for you, we are providing you with some Labor Day drink recipes that are practically labor-free!

 

Arnold Palmer with Popping Pearls
This layered drink recipe is inspired by the classic Arnold Palmer. Cool off your Labor Day weekend with this non-alcoholic drink recipe with popping pearls.

Ingredients:

• 4 oz Tea Zone brewed black tea, room temperature
• 2 oz Lemonade
• Ice
• 2 tsp Tea Zone Lemon popping pearls *

Directions:
1. In a glass, add ice, popping pearls, and lemonade
2. Pour tea over
3. Stir to combine before enjoying

Watermelon Slushie (Non-Alcoholic or Alcoholic)
This watermelon slushie is a take on the childhood favorite, or you can adult it up by turning it into a watermelon margarita with a tequila of your choice.

Ingredients:

• 3 oz Tea Zone Watermelon Powder
• 2 oz Tequila or double the water for a non-alcoholic slushie
• 2 oz Water
• 1 cup Ice

Directions:
1. Combine ingredients into a blender
2. Pour into a glass and enjoy



Captain America Cocktail (Non-Alcoholic or Alcoholic)
Bringing in the essence of a true American hero in blue and red -- a Captain America-themed cocktail. So grab your pool floaty and enjoy sipping on this Marvel-ous drink!

Ingredients:

• 2 oz 1883 Maison Routin Blue Curacao Syrup
• ½ oz Coconut Rum or substitute with coconut water for a non-alcoholic drink
• 3 oz Ginger Ale
• Ice

Directions:
1. Combine ingredients and serve over ice
2. Garnish with a maraschino cherry


Coconut Mojito (Alcoholic)
Inspired by the P.F. Chang's coconut mojito, this cocktail with have you feeling like you are on a tropical oasis for your long weekend.

Ingredients:

• 1 ½ oz Coconut Rum
• ~5 oz Coconut Cream
• 1 oz Monin Mojito Mix
• ½ oz Lime juice
• Mint leaves
• Ice

Directions:
1. Pour rum, mojito mix, into a 16 oz glass with ice and mint leaves
2. Top with Coconut cream
3. Stir and enjoy
