Kid-Friendly Christmas Drinks

Christmas is a time for cheer and gathering with family, but it can also be a time of stress. Cooking the big meal, traveling to see relatives you only see once a year, and dealing with the cold weather are just some of the things that make this holiday season stressful. One way to get rid of your holiday stress is by drinking festive beverages!

These three drinks bring out classic Christmas flavors including eggnog, peppermint, and gingerbread. They will have you feeling happy in no time. The best part is that they are both delicious and easy for kids to make too.

 

1. Eggnog Milkshake
This eggnog milkshake recipe is perfect for the holidays and it tastes great too. It has all the flavor of your favorite holiday beverage without any alcohol. Plus, this shake only takes five minutes to make so it's a quick and easy way to get your fix this season!

Ingredients:

• 6 oz Vanilla Ice cream
• 1 cup Milk
• 2 oz DaVinci Classic Egg Nog Syrup

Garnish
• Whip Cream
• Sprinkles

 

Directions:

1. Add ingredients into a blender, blend for 5 seconds.
2. Pour into a tall glass.
3. Garnish with whip cream and sprinkles



2. Frozen Peppermint Hot Chocolate
What better way to satisfy your sweet tooth than with a frozen peppermint hot chocolate? Of course, the traditional way to enjoy hot chocolate is...well... hot, but for those that don’t actually have a white winter, this drink is a perfect alternative. This delicious recipe is an easy and yummy way to celebrate seasonal cheer all year round!

Ingredients:

• 1 packet of Hot Cocoa Powder Mix
• 1 cup Milk
• 2 oz Torani Peppermint Syrup or Torani Sugar Free Peppermint
• 1 cup Ice
Garnish
- Whip cream
- Chocolate Sprinkles
- Candy Canes

 

 

Directions:

1. Add ingredients into a blender. Blend until smooth.
2. Take the candy canes and carefully crush with a rolling pin or hammer.
3. Pour drink into a glass.
4. Garnish with whip cream, chocolate sprinkles, and crushed candy canes.
5. Optional: Stick intact candy cane inside.



3. Gingerbread Cream Frappe
Gingerbread men and gingerbread houses are quintessential holiday traditions. Now we take the essence of gingerbread and add it to a blended drink. This is similar to a Frappuccino but without any coffee so the little ones can enjoy it as well.

• ½ cup Milk
• ½ cup Heavy Cream
• 2 oz Monin Gingerbread Syrup
• 1 cup Ice
Garnish
- Whip cream
- Ground cinnamon

 

 

Directions:

1. Add ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.
2. Pour into a drinking glass.
3. Garnish with whip cream and a light sprinkle of ground cinnamon.
4. Optional: Stick a gingerbread man cookie inside.
